Day One

On the first day I have completed the following:

  1. Register trevoroneale.com with GoDaddy
  2. Setup hosting with BlueLeafHost.com
  3. Install WordPress
    1. Install plugins
      1. Yoast WordPress SEO – Site SEO
      2. Scribe – SEO Made Simple
      3. Gravity Forms – Contact Form
      4. WP Smush.it – Image optimization
  4. Establish online social media accounts with:
    1. Google +
    2. Pinterest
    3. Twitter
    4. YouTube
  5. Established a Google authorship account with trevoroneale.com and Google +
  6. Content strategy
    1. Outline goals of the website
    2. Identify target audience
    3. Identify five key topics to blog about.
  7. Website Design
    1. Begin brainstorming design styles
    2. Review other websites in the niche

As the days go on the “homework assignments” for the client will involve building upon many of these first day steps to go from zero to the first page. Stay tuned for more in this series…
